We present four papers on filtering. They are old, but they still reflect the state of the art. They were presented at the Zürich and Evian symposia on EMC, between 1987 and 1991. They belong to a series of six papers which we have published on our research on the design of power-line filters. The results of these studies have later been widely used for the creation of the Filtrexpert software, and in the course of engineering missions.
