Models for the fields close to an antenna

The assessment of electromagnetic fields close to portable transmitters is a topical issue, considering the proliferation of these devices. We provide here some models for such assessments.

The two following papers provide analytical models:

[B76] F. Broydé, E. Clavelier : "Maximum electric and magnetic field strengths at a given distance from some ideal antennas", IEEE Antennas & Propagation Magazine, Vol. 50, No. 4, August 2008, pp. 66-71.

[B72] G. Broydé, E. Clavelier, "Models and protection distances for today's radiocommunication handsets", Proc. of the CEM 08 Int. Symp. on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Paris, May 2008, session B6.

The following paper studies the maximum fields close to a half-wave dipole antenna:

[B49] F. Broydé, E. Clavelier, "Modèles pour le champ proche d'un émetteur portable", actes du 11ème Colloque international de compatibilité électromagnétique, Grenoble, 12 au 14 mars 2002, communication A1-3, pp. 23-28.
